Part 2 - The Trance
mind_mistress: So as you're sitting there...
mind_mistress: staring at the bright screen...
mind_mistress: you can feel the weight of your body...
mind_mistress: and you can feel your breathing...
mind_mistress: feeling how shallow or deep it is...
mind_mistress: how fast or slow...
mind_mistress: and you can feel the reddish liquid inside you...
mind_mistress: breathing and feeling it...
mind_mistress: in the feet...
mind_mistress: getting tingly...
mind_mistress: as you pay attention to the insides of the feet...
mind_mistress: that's right...
mind_mistress: allowing it to to spread...
mind_mistress: in the feet...
mind_mistress: ankles...
mind_mistress: soon the calves...
mind_mistress: Mmmm...
mind_mistress: and while it's spreading there...
mind_mistress: you can feel the reddish liquid...
mind_mistress: inside the hands...
mind_mistress: getting cool...
mind_mistress: and heavy...
mind_mistress: tingly...

mind_mistress: and back to that place...
mind_mistress: which is a real imaginary place...
mind_mistress: but real nonetheless...
mind_mistress: where you are Cinnea...
mind_mistress: with your invisible friends...
mind_mistress: on the left side of the door leading to the boar pit...
mind_mistress: not seeing yourself...
mind_mistress: but knowing your own presence there...
mind_mistress: and drifting in...
mind_mistress: seeing the pit from your own eyes...
mind_mistress: and feeling your body...
mind_mistress: female and wonderful...
mind_mistress: more and more with every breath...
colleen: mmm
mind_mistress: that's right...
mind_mistress: and you can feel hands of two people on your arms...
mind_mistress: knowing they're there with you...
mind_mistress: in this scary place...
mind_mistress: is oddly comforting...
mind_mistress: since you can't see them...
colleen: yes
mind_mistress: and then the door bursts open!
colleen: gasp!
mind_mistress: Decimus stomps through wth 2 guards following...
mind_mistress: he stomps to where Brigit was...
colleen: I'm trembling
mind_mistress: 4 more guards enter behind them
mind_mistress: Decimus: "WHAT IN THE NAME OF JUPITER!!!???"
mind_mistress: He turns to the soldiers
colleen: I look around
mind_mistress: "WHERE. IS. SHE???"
mind_mistress: the guards look around...
colleen: my heart beating fast
mind_mistress: you feel a hand pulling you towards the open door.
colleen: I follow the tug
mind_mistress: "BLOODY DRUIDS! I'LL KILL THEM ALL!"
mind_mistress: they lead you to the corridor....
mind_mistress: "KILL THEM ALLL!!!!"
colleen: I start to walk faster
mind_mistress: boy is he pissed!
mind_mistress: you're all huddling together down the hallway...
colleen: I'm very frightened
mind_mistress: and 4 more guards are coming down your way!!!
mind_mistress: OH NO!
colleen: up against the wall
colleen: I'm feeling faint
mind_mistress: You all flatten...
mind_mistress: and they pass you by...
mind_mistress: but you feel the breeze of their passing in your long hair...
colleen: breathing rapidly
mind_mistress: yikes!!!
mind_mistress: heart pounding...
mind_mistress: lucius stage whispers: "Come on!"
mind_mistress: and you get pulled further down...
colleen: I go
mind_mistress: Past the door of Decimus' office...
mind_mistress: and close to the guard room...
colleen: almost running
mind_mistress: and almost run right into four more guards!
mind_mistress: you all stop
colleen: I bump into someone
mind_mistress: The guards are listening to Decimus' wailing rant...
mind_mistress: you can still hear him
mind_mistress: though the words aren't clear
mind_mistress: he is ANGRY!
colleen: very!
colleen: we've got to get out of here
mind_mistress: One of the guards in front of you says to another: "Do you think we should go too?"
mind_mistress: other: "Are you crazy? He's likely to throw us to the boars! Wait for an order"
colleen: can we crawl between them?
mind_mistress: The senior one says: "Let's go outside and guard for any escapes
mind_mistress: they get in formation
mind_mistress: march to the front door...
mind_mistress: open it...
mind_mistress: and file out...
colleen: we follow behind
mind_mistress: Your people start pulling you forward
mind_mistress: to the door...
mind_mistress: they're not in front of it, fortunately...
mind_mistress: but standing on the sides
mind_mistress: you brush past one very close...
mind_mistress: you can smell his sweat
mind_mistress: ick
mind_mistress: and keep moving...
colleen: quietly

mind_mistress: You all freeze

mind_mistress: The guards look around

mind_mistress: one of them walks in your direction slowly
colleen: I stare at him
mind_mistress: someone pulls you to the left, another to the right
mind_mistress: what do you do?
colleen: I duck down
mind_mistress: down?
mind_mistress: The guard is moving straight for you!
colleen: yes to lower myself
colleen: and let go of the hand on my right
mind_mistress: he's going to walk right into you
colleen: and crawl left
mind_mistress: he stops where you were
mind_mistress: looks around
mind_mistress: "Damn squirrels"
mind_mistress: and marches back to the door
mind_mistress: but now your group is split...
colleen: I let out a deep breath
mind_mistress: are you still touching anyone?
colleen: the one on my left
mind_mistress: that one pulls at you
mind_mistress: do you get up or let go?
colleen: I get up
mind_mistress: it seems to be a woman's hand
mind_mistress: leading towards the exit gates
mind_mistress: getting closer...
mind_mistress: you hear a horn blow
colleen: "run" I whisper
mind_mistress: she starts running with you...
mind_mistress: they're closing the front gates
colleen: faster
mind_mistress: but you can make it!
mind_mistress: you think
mind_mistress: getting closer...
colleen: we race to the gate
mind_mistress: and there's room to get by...
mind_mistress: and you're out!
mind_mistress: onto the road
mind_mistress: Whew!
colleen: "where are the others?"
mind_mistress: Brigit: "I don't know"
mind_mistress: "I hope they made it"
colleen: "Lucius?" I whisper
mind_mistress: Brigit: "Now the gates are closed... it would be hard to get out"
mind_mistress: "I don't know."
mind_mistress: "did you have a place to meet up if you got separated?"
mind_mistress: she's still walking with you down the road
colleen: "how long will we be invisible?"
mind_mistress: "Well, until the sun changes"
mind_mistress: "Twilight"
colleen: "we didn't set one but we could go to our cache"
mind_mistress: "Okay... where is that?"
colleen: down the road I think in the forest an old fallen log
mind_mistress: "Okay, let's keep going"
colleen: we head down the road
mind_mistress: suddenly you find her hands on your body...
mind_mistress: "ooops"
colleen: ooops?
mind_mistress: then she's hugging you
mind_mistress: "Thank you for saving me"
mind_mistress: "that was a crazy risk"
colleen: "are you alright? Did they hurt you?"
mind_mistress: she feels warm and good
mind_mistress: it sounds like she's crying...
colleen: "we had to try?"
mind_mistress: "y-y-yes"
mind_mistress: "I'm okay"
colleen: "it's ok, we will be safe now"
colleen: I hold her
mind_mistress: she sniffles
mind_mistress: and whispers: "I was sooo scared"
mind_mistress: "and all my Druid magic couldn't save me"
colleen: the others will join us soon I'm sure
mind_mistress: "any more than it could save Melric"
mind_mistress: she lets go...
mind_mistress: and takes you by the crook of the arm
colleen: "who is Melric?"
mind_mistress: "Melric... he's... well, he's like a Druid sage"
mind_mistress: and leads you down the road
colleen: "well Clara's magic did the trick"
mind_mistress: "Yes... she's got the simple spells down pat... "
colleen: "turn here I think this is the place"
mind_mistress: what time is it, by the sky?
colleen: looks early
mind_mistress: morning? Afternoon?
colleen: morning
mind_mistress: "okay, let's go visible so the others can find us"
colleen: yes
mind_mistress: she gropes up your face...
mind_mistress: touches the bridge of your nose...
mind_mistress: and mutters something...
mind_mistress: then she lets go...
mind_mistress: mutters again...
colleen: I blink several times
mind_mistress: and you can see her appear... touching the bridge of her own nose
colleen: :)
mind_mistress: she seems ragged
colleen: I look at my hands
mind_mistress: looks at you...
mind_mistress: and then hugs you again
mind_mistress: "THANK you!"
colleen: I hug her back
mind_mistress: she's squeezing hard
mind_mistress: "I don't know what would've happened to me..."
mind_mistress: "I owe you my life..."
colleen: "It's ok, everything will be fine"
mind_mistress: "and we Druids take that very seriously"
mind_mistress: she lets go...
colleen: "we"ve just got to get out of here"
mind_mistress: holding your hands in hers...
mind_mistress: looking at you in the eyes...
mind_mistress: with a strange expression...
colleen: "what's wrong?"
mind_mistress: "we take that very seriously... sister"
mind_mistress: a small smile
colleen: "sister?"
colleen: I smile
mind_mistress: twinkling in her eyes
mind_mistress: you suddenly feel...
mind_mistress: totally accepted...
mind_mistress: loved...

mind_mistress: a sisterly love...
mind_mistress: of someone who will never let you down
mind_mistress: it's like something is passing between the two of you...
mind_mistress: you feel your hands tingling...
mind_mistress: like you're sharing some kind of vital force...
colleen: "I told you you could trust me"
mind_mistress: she simply says: "I trust my sister with my life"
mind_mistress: and smiles warmly
colleen: mmmm
mind_mistress: warm fuzzy inside
colleen: yesss
mind_mistress: wow...
mind_mistress: you feel... connected to her...
mind_mistress: and the amulet on your chest is pulsing...
mind_mistress: warm...
colleen: I touch the amulet
mind_mistress: you feel weird... in a good way...
colleen: feel strange
mind_mistress: like things are shifting inside you...
mind_mistress: she cocks her head...
colleen: "what is it?"
mind_mistress: and says "The Goddess' Gift is stirring inside you"
colleen: "Goddess' Gift?"
mind_mistress: "The Power"
mind_mistress: then she frowns
colleen: "what power"?
mind_mistress: "you have to stop it before it takes hold... take off the amulet!"
colleen: "WHY?"
mind_mistress: "or I will not be able to change you back!"
mind_mistress: she looks worried
colleen: "what do you mean?"
mind_mistress: things are still shifting inside of you...
mind_mistress: "If you accept the Goddess' Gift, I won't be able to turn you back into a man"
colleen: I look at the amulet in my hand
mind_mistress: "You'll become a Druidess"
colleen: "what?"
mind_mistress: "quickly, you don't have much time..."
colleen: "I don't know"
mind_mistress: "my claiming you as sister... and you accepting it..."
mind_mistress: "has set the final stages in motion"
colleen: "you mean never"?
mind_mistress: "never"
mind_mistress: "Don't you want to be a man again?"
mind_mistress: she's still holding your hands...
colleen: "yes... no... I don't know."
mind_mistress: and you know that what is flowing into your left hand is her lifeforce...
mind_mistress: and yours is flowing out your right hand into her
mind_mistress: she blinks
mind_mistress: you feel something almost... ready to settle
mind_mistress: "Do you want to be my sister? For life?"
colleen: "yes and no and I'm not sure..."
colleen: "it's all so fast"
mind_mistress: "Cinnea... choose now... you have only moments left to take it off..."
colleen: "i can't but I should"
mind_mistress: she lets go of your hands
mind_mistress: you feel the flow stop...
mind_mistress: and it feels... wrong
mind_mistress: to have that flow stop
colleen: I reach for her hands
mind_mistress: she reaches for the amulet and tries to take it off you

colleen: "NO"
mind_mistress: "No?"
colleen: "I'll keep it"
mind_mistress: All of a sudden...
mind_mistress: something clicks inside of you...
mind_mistress: the world fades...
mind_mistress: to just you and Brigit...
mind_mistress: in a swirl of rainbow colors and lights...
mind_mistress: surrounding you...
mind_mistress: and you hear a voice... inside you and outside you... Goddess... saying
mind_mistress: "CINNEA"
mind_mistress: it resonates inside you
colleen: I look around
mind_mistress: you vibrate with those words...
mind_mistress: you are surrounded by colored lights swirling
mind_mistress: around you and Brigit
mind_mistress: Brigit: "The choice is made"
colleen: "what's happening" I whisper
mind_mistress: Goddess's voice inside you: "Cinnea... My daughter"
mind_mistress: inside you... it feels like a dam has busted...
mind_mistress: and things are flowing...
mind_mistress: like a fountain within...
mind_mistress: filling you...
colleen: mmmmmm
mind_mistress: Brigit whispers: "The Goddess' Gift... has been opened"
colleen: "what gift?"
mind_mistress: Goddess: "Brigit... do you claim Cinnea as your sister, in the flesh and in the Craft?"

mind_mistress: Goddess: "Cinnea... do you claim Brigit as your sister, in the flesh and in the Craft?"
mind_mistress: it feels like your heart and hers are connected...

colleen: I grasp her hands
mind_mistress: and you see another Brigit... on your right side... just beside the two of you...

mind_mistress: this one is glowier...
mind_mistress: and more unearthly...
colleen: "who...?"
mind_mistress: and she puts her hands on a shoulder of each of you...
mind_mistress: Goddess: "I am Brigit, the Goddess your sister is named after"
mind_mistress: Brigit looks to the Goddess touching her...
mind_mistress: awe in her face
mind_mistress: Brigit: "My Lady.... I... do not deserve..."
mind_mistress: Goddess: "You deserve plenty... accept the gift you have been given"
mind_mistress: the Goddess voice echoing and vibrating inside you
mind_mistress: Brigit: "There's so much I've wanted to ask..."
mind_mistress: tears are flowing down your sister's glowing face
mind_mistress: you feel soo.... ALIVE!
colleen: I brush a tear from her face
mind_mistress: Goddess: "And I will answer them in your meditations, as I always do..."
mind_mistress: "and you, Cinnea... which of My faces do you wish to know?"

mind_mistress: the Goddess smiles
mind_mistress: "Blessings upon you both..."
mind_mistress: and then the colors become transparent...
mind_mistress: as the world fades back in...
mind_mistress: but everything...
mind_mistress: is more glowy
mind_mistress: colors more vibrant...
colleen: brighter
colleen: alive!
mind_mistress: and like there's a green glow around each tree
mind_mistress: and you can FEEL yourself inside the glow of the trees surrounding you...
colleen: auras of life
mind_mistress: yes...
mind_mistress: Brigit takes you into her arms...
mind_mistress: "Wow...
mind_mistress: she's shaking
colleen: "wow is an understatement"
mind_mistress: "I didn't think you'd... really want... to be my sister..."
colleen: "I'm not sure I did either'

colleen: "I just couldn't part with the amulet'
colleen: "wonderful"

colleen: "at peace"
mind_mistress: and brushes a strand of hair from your forehead

colleen: "now what?"

mind_mistress: "I can't believe the Goddess brought us into Twilight... just to talk to us"
colleen: "why??"
mind_mistress: "Brighid is a goddess of smiths, healers and bards... the fire of inspiration"
mind_mistress: she cocks her head...
colleen: "oh?"
mind_mistress: "I think I understand why now..."
mind_mistress: "smithcraft..."
colleen: "steel works"
mind_mistress: "Exactly"
mind_mistress: "She's taken an interest in you..."
colleen: But why us?
mind_mistress: "Well, it's hard to tell with gods"
mind_mistress: "Either you were at the right place at the right time... and She found you convenient..."

mind_mistress: "Or she had chosen you, and arranged for you to be here at the right time and place"
mind_mistress: "The gods play a convoluted game we cannot hope to decipher fully"

mind_mistress: and then you hear a male "Ow"
colleen: I turn
mind_mistress: you turn to see Melric, Clara and Lucius
mind_mistress: and Melric's stubbed his foot again it seems
colleen: "glad you could join us"
mind_mistress: Lucius rushes up to grab you in his arms...
mind_mistress: and Clara goes to Brigit
colleen: ooooh
mind_mistress: Clara: "Oh my Goddess, I'm sooo glad you're safe!"
mind_mistress: Lucius: "Thank Jupiter you're fine!"
mind_mistress: and he holds you in his arms...
mind_mistress: wow...
colleen: "not Jupiter... Brigit"
mind_mistress: this is like... perfection on top of perfection...
mind_mistress: Sooooo warm and safe in his arms...
colleen: mmmmm

mind_mistress: Lucius: "What does Brigit have to do with... we saved *her*"
